Deep Carbon Observatory

Exploration, a thing of the past? Don’t tell that the Deep Carbon Observatory, which is on a ten year research quest to the deep places of the earth. They’re sending scientists to some of the deepest and most remote places on the planet, and they’ve discovered the tantalising possibility that there’s a huge hydrogen-based ecosystem, existing deep in the crust.
