Over summer 2014 Kevin Kelly commissioned 100 x 100 years x 100-word texts. Future ‘haiku’ scenarios in 100 words, set 100 years in the future. And the texts had to depict a desirable future. Sadly I never got to hear about his initial call…
“I’ll pay $100 for the best 100-word description of a plausible technological future in 100 years that I would like to live in. Email me.”
He picked the best and most believable 23, and elegantly blogged them at Medium. Generally a little too “techno-gadgets will solve all!” in tone, but they’re a fun read.
Sadly they’re not Creative Commons, or someone might have made an audio book of them.
